Chelsea Fertility NYC is an internationally recognized fertility center serving the New York City metropolitan area. Our goal is to support your needs in a private fertility clinic setting and offer the most effective infertility treatments available — so you can achieve your dream of becoming a parent.
Choose Chelsea Fertility NYC for:
- IVF treatment in NYC — eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a specialized laboratory, and the resulting embryo is carefully transferred to the uterus to achieve pregnancy.
- Egg freezing — an increasingly popular family planning option for women in their 20s and 30s who wish to preserve their fertility for future family building goals.
- IUI treatment — a relatively simple, non-surgical procedure in which a trained fertility specialist places sperm directly into a woman's uterus while she is ovulating.
- Donor egg — egg donation can be used when other reproductive options have either been exhausted or are not available, and we provide the needed support during the process of selecting an egg donor.
- Genetic testing (PGT-A / PGT-M) — the genetic testing of embryos prior to when they are placed in the uterus, for chromosomal abnormalities (PGT-A) or single gene disorders (PGT-M).
- LGBTQ+ family building — Chelsea Fertility NYC proudly assists in family building for LGBTQ, gay and lesbian individuals whether or not a fertility issue is present.
Competitive financial packages, high-level clinical skill and customer service, from physicians with 80 years of combined experience.

Cost and insurance
Our financial coordinator verifies your insurance benefits and gives you a written itemized estimate before you start — no surprise charges. You can review our published treatment costs before your visit.
New York State's 2020 infertility mandate requires large-group commercial insurance plans (100+ employees) to cover up to three cycles of IVF. Small-group plans, self-funded employer plans, and out-of-state plans are exempt. Whether your specific plan is covered depends on the policy type — we verify this for you at consultation. See our fertility insurance coverage page for detail.
A growing number of employers now cover fertility care as a benefit, often administered through Progyny, Carrot, Maven, WINFertility or Stork Club. Patients here have used each of these. What your benefit covers is set by your employer's plan rather than by us, so we verify it before you begin.
We offer a free consultation for new patients. We bill health insurance where the patient has coverage that applies; where not, the visit is offered at no charge as a courtesy first visit or second opinion.
If you have had treatment elsewhere, see what a fertility second opinion here involves.
“I adored Dr. Gindoff. He was accessible, deferential and always returned my phone calls and entertained all of my questions, no matter how flaky. I have never had my questions about anything answered so thoroughly as by Dr. Gindoff.”

Do you work with insurance?
Yes. We accept many health insurance plans. What happens at the free consultation?
Your first visit is a conversation with one of our reproductive endocrinologists — Dr. Gindoff or Dr. Hartog. We review your medical, family, and reproductive history, discuss your goals, perform a baseline ultrasound when appropriate, and outline the diagnostic workup that fits your situation. You leave with a clear plan, not a sales pitch. We offer a free consultation for new patients.
Get a head start by downloading our new patient forms before your visit.
How soon can I start treatment?
Most workups are complete within a month. If you arrive at your first consultation with recent results already in hand, we generally won't repeat them — we'll use them to move you toward treatment. An IUI cycle, and an IVF cycle ending in a fresh transfer, both track roughly a full menstrual cycle — about a month. A freeze-all IVF cycle or an egg freezing cycle runs about two to three weeks, depending on your protocol.
