NoMad — the pocket north of Madison Square Park, roughly 25th to 30th Streets between Sixth and Lexington — is one of the closest neighborhoods to our office on foot. From most NoMad addresses the trip is eight to ten minutes east and north, which is why the majority of our NoMad patients walk rather than take the subway.
The short walk from NoMad
Head east to Madison or Park Avenue South, then straight up to East 37th. Park Avenue South turns into Park Avenue at 32nd Street and continues to our block between Park and Lexington.
The 6 at 28th Street and Park Avenue South is one stop to 33rd Street, but for most NoMad addresses the walk is faster than descending, waiting, riding, and climbing back out. The N/R/W at 28th Street runs on the Broadway line and would leave you at Herald Square with a crosstown walk east — not a useful route to us.
