The West Village sits on the far west side of lower Manhattan, and our office sits well to the east on 37th Street. There is no direct subway between the two; every practical route involves either a crosstown walk from a west-side station or a bus east. It is a manageable trip for consultations and less frequent visits; for the frequent monitoring visits of an IVF cycle, the daily crosstown time is worth planning around in advance.
Two routes, both with an east-west leg
By subway, take the 1 from Christopher Street or Houston Street up to 34th Street–Penn Station, then walk east to Park Avenue — roughly ten minutes across — and north three blocks to 37th. Allow twenty-five to thirty minutes door to door.
As an alternative, the M14 crosstown bus east to Union Square with a transfer to the 6 uptown to 33rd Street works when the weather rules out walking crosstown from Penn Station. A car service east across 14th or Houston is the most predictable option for early monitoring visits.
